REACH

REACH declarations for aluminium and copper alloys

What is REACH?

REACH is a law that has regulated the use of chemicals within the EU since 2007. In short, REACH is about the registration, evaluation and authorisation of chemicals.

See the list of REACH-regulated chemical substances here.

The purpose of REACH is to protect people and the environment while ensuring that products on the internal market compete on a level playing field. This means that all manufacturers in the EU are subject to the same requirements for the content of their products. However, countries can adopt their own stricter rules.

How does REACH affect you?

As a manufacturer or importer, you are responsible for registering all substances in your product. If the product contains substances that are on the EU REACH list of harmful or suspected harmful substances, the case must be assessed to determine if the product poses a risk to humans or the environment.

If you import or sell products within the EU that exceed the limits in REACH, you are obliged to declare this. Therefore, companies need to be aware of the materials they use.

In the PDF files below, you will find an overview of which of Alcobra's products you need to be aware of in relation to REACH.
